Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 10, 2026
This policy explains what information The Ada Guy collects, why it's collected, and how it's handled. The short version: I collect only what's necessary to provide the service, I don't sell your data, and I keep things simple.
Who this applies to
This policy applies to visitors and users of theadaguy.dev and associated subdomains, including the Auditor platform at app.theadaguy.dev. It covers any information collected through the website, the free scan tool, the Auditor platform, and the contact form.
By using this site you agree to the practices described here. If you have questions about anything in this policy, email me directly.
What I collect
Information you provide directly
- URLs you submit for scanning via the free scan tool
- Your name and email address when you use the contact form
- The message content you send through the contact form
- Account details (email, name) when you register for the Auditor platform
Information collected automatically
- Basic request logs including IP address, browser type, and pages visited — standard web server logs retained briefly for security and debugging
- Session cookies required for authentication on the Auditor platform
- No advertising or behavioral tracking cookies are set on this site
What I don't collect
- Payment information — billing is handled entirely by third-party processors; I never see your card details
- Passwords in plain text — passwords are hashed before storage
- Data from the pages you scan beyond what's needed to run the accessibility check
How I use it
Information collected is used only to:
- Run the accessibility scan you requested and return results to you
- Respond to your contact form submissions
- Manage your Auditor platform account and deliver the service
- Diagnose technical issues and maintain site security
- Understand which pages are visited (aggregate, non-personal) to improve the site
I do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party.
Third-party services
Some functions of this site are handled by third-party providers. Each has its own privacy practices.
Vercel
Hosts the public website. Standard request logs (IP, user agent, path) are retained according to Vercel's data retention policy.
Render
Hosts the Auditor platform backend. Processes scan jobs and stores scan results and account data.
Turso
Database provider for the Auditor platform. Account data and scan history are stored here.
Vercel Blob / object storage
Stores scan artifact files (screenshots, reports) associated with your Auditor account.
Data retention
Free scan results are stored temporarily to return results to you. They are not linked to any account and are purged on a rolling basis.
Auditor platform data (scan history, account details, artifacts) is retained while your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing hello@theadaguy.dev.
Contact form submissions are retained in email only, for as long as necessary to respond and follow up.
Your rights
You can at any time:
- Request a copy of personal data I hold about you
- Ask me to correct inaccurate information
- Ask me to delete your account and associated data
- Withdraw consent for any optional communications
To exercise any of these rights, email hello@theadaguy.dev with your request. I'll respond within a reasonable time frame.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a material way, I'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For significant changes that affect Auditor platform users, I'll send a notice to the email on your account.
Continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
